Dearly beloved, It’s a great joy for me to speak to you from this place! Do you know why? Because, I like this spot a lot at the Prayer Mount. This is the place where I used to come and pray alone. Here, I used to kneel down like this
and read the Bible and pray. I used to stand on my knees as much as possible. Or else, I would sit or walk. This is the place where I used to feel
God’s presence and often rejoice in it. It is a great joy for me
to speak to you from this very place. Lord has given this Prayer Mount for
all of us. You also have a part in it. Because, this place belongs to Jesus. Whatever belongs to Jesus also belongs to you, isn’t it? This doesn’t belong to Mohan C. Lazarus. This place called Prayer Mount belongs to Jesus. You can also come here, stay and pray. Look in Isaiah 53:3, “He (Jesus) is despised and rejected by men,
A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.” When Jesus was handed over to be crucified on the cross, everyone despised Him. He was filled with grief. He was suffering. After He was delivered to the cross,
no one came to speak on behalf of Him. How many received miracles from Him!
But no one came forward. Those who were healed by Jesus
were thousands in number. But no one came for Him. Because, the government was a dictatorial one. No one can oppose the government.
Such was the Roman Empire. So, everyone got frightened and moved away. All those who were there that time, despised Him. All those soldiers were despising Him. They were tormenting Him.
They were mocking Him. He endured everything.
Do you know why? Because, of the love He had on me,
the love He had on you! He was being despised and
rejected by everyone for you and for me. Have you been rejected by everyone, today? Are you being despised by everyone in your family? Are you being spoken ill of by those
who work along with you? Are they rejecting you? Are they rejecting you amidst your relatives? Has your heart been wounded? Are you worried that everyone at your work place
or your place of study or in your family, is talking against you; they are putting you
to shame; persecuting you, rejecting you? Just think of Jesus! He was despised, rejected and
filled with grief for you and for me! Do you know why? To console us. To turn away our sorrows. He will say, “I’m there for you”. “Have men despised you?
It’s okay, I’m here for you! I’m Your Father who was crucified
on the cross for you. I know your sufferings. I know the pain you are going through
for I’ve experienced it on the cross. I’m here for you”. He will put His arms around your shoulder
and say, ‘Do not worry, My son, My daughter’. Jesus who comforts you is looking at you
and saying, “My son/ My daughter, I’m here for you!” “Father, You were despised, rejected by all
and was filled with grief for me on the cross. You have carried all my sufferings. You are there for me and that’s enough for me. You’re with me and that’s enough for me. You’re there as the one who understands me
and that’s enough for me, Father. Even though anyone may despise me,
even though anyone rejects me,
it’s okay for You’re with me. And this very thing is enough for me. I delight in it. I rejoice
and am glad in my Jesus. In the name of Jesus, Amen. Amen.
