Dearly beloved, Loving greetings to you in the name of Jesus Christ! Those of us who are walking with Jesus must be always happy! Being happy is one of the great signs that we’re walking with Jesus! Even if someone asks, “You’re always happy, don’t you have any problems in life?” “Problems are there just like anyone who is living in this world. But, Jesus who is able to solve all these problems and who always does good to me is with me as well, isn’t it? I’m walking with Him, right? So, He will look after all my troubles.” Happiness!! That’s the faith we have on Him. This will please God. “No, there’s nothing good happening to me despite His promise, even though He told me and I believe in His word and I also pray; yet, there’s nothing good happening to me!”, are you thinking like this? Look at the word of God written in Psalm 84:11, “No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.” When a man walks uprightly, He will definitely do good to Him. The word of God says that He will never withhold good things from Him! So, to whom does God do good? God can do good to only those who walk uprightly! Alcoholics and to those who are walking in unrighteous ways hurting others can Jesus continue doing good to them? He might do good so that he gets an opportunity to repent. But, He will not continue doing good to him if he still continues in his reckless ways without repenting. So, we must commit ourselves to walk uprightly. What is ‘Walking uprightly’ means? It is to live a blameless life! To walk uprightly in front of God is to lead a blameless life! A life that no one could find any fault. When you read about Daniel in 6th chapter, He was the Prime Minister of the nation. He had many responsibilities such as giving account to the King. His enemies were the ones who worked with him and they grew jealous of him that he has become a governor in spite of him being a slave coming from a foreign land. They said, “We have to find a charge against Daniel” They were looking out to find fault with him. They were watching him whether he is coming to work on time or late? Is he leaving late or early? Is he giving fake attendance at work and going elsewhere? He is handling money. So, is he honest with it or stealing a bit? But, he was walking uprightly that they couldn’t find any fault with him. They couldn’t find any fault or mistake to charge against him. That’s a perfect life! We must lead a ‘Blameless life’ as much as possible so that no one will be able to find fault with you. We must commit ourselves to lead such a life. May be, if it’s not possible to attain 100% perfection, we must strive for it, isn’t it? We shouldn’t live as we please saying that it’s not possible to live a perfect life. We must try to live a blameless life, strive for it! Are you faithful at work? Are you going to work on time? Are you sincerely working during your working hours? Just think! Are you working sincerely according to the pay you’re receiving? When you lack such things, how can God bless you? Are you being sincere in your married life? Are you loving everybody so that no one can find fault with you? Are you being kind to everyone? So, that’s the upright life. A perfect life which no one can point a finger at and find fault with you. We must move towards such a life.
We must journey towards it; we must try; we must pray for it. God cannot bless those who remain saying,
“I’ll be like this only. Whatever I do is right!”. “God, please transform me so that I shall live an upright life. I must lead a perfect life so that no one will be able to point finger at me finding any fault” “Everyone is living a life like this. Don’t they ever sin? It’s not possible to live like that in today’s world!” you shouldn’t argue saying so. “I’m trying to be like Jesus,
I’m striving for it, I’m committed to it, God please grant me grace. I should never get angry. I must show love instead of getting irritated in front of my children nor my husband or my wife. No one at my work place should say that I’m a bad-tempered person or a man who loots money or this man is dishonest for he treats people indifferently! To live a disciplined
and an upright life that none will be able to tell like this about me, God, I commit myself. Be it at home or outside or in the society or at church. So, people would say, “He is an upright man.” A perfect life that none will be able to find fault with it. This cannot happen within a day. As we keep reading the word of God and walk with Him continually you will inherit that nature and character. So, try harder, anticipate it, long to live like that. Therefore, God will give good things to those who walk uprightly. If you say that you commit yourself to walk uprightly, good things will start to follow. The goodness that was blocked shall follow!
Isn’t it? Do you believe? Tell that you submit yourself. “Father, I commit myself/ we commit ourselves to lead an upright life. Father, we do not want a life that is blemish and people finding fault in it bringing shame to Your name. I commit myself/ we commit ourselves to lead an upright life so that You will be glorified”. To all those children who are praying You will surely do good and let them see that today. Please do good to them today and make them happy so that they shall rejoice that God has done good to me as I’ve committed to lead an upright life. I pray in the name of Jesus, Father! Amen. Amen.”
