I greet you in the name of Jesus Christ! This is a Sandhya(evening) ground at the Prayer Mount. This is a place to gather for prayer in the evening. This is a wonderful place to meditate the word of God and pray. If you come here, you can also pray wonderfully. You will feel the presence of God always. Do you know why? Because people are coming here and praying day and night. You also plan to come and pray here. Today, in 2 Corinthians 5:21, “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the
righteousness of God in Him”. Jesus was made to be sin on the cross. That is, Jesus was made to be sin on the cross. Do you think what it means? Assume that a young boy has murdered someone. In some kind of rage, he murdered, he did a mistake. He realises he was wrong. When he comes to the court, even if he says, “I have done mistake”, the punishment will not be changed. He is a murderer. A punishment will be given to him. Father comes and says, “Sir, my son has committed a mistake. That is true. Punish me for his mistake. I will bear whatever the punishment you would give him. Please let him go”. Will the court leave him if he says like that? No, they won’t leave him. He is the one who has done the mistake so he has to be punished. But at the same time if the father comes and says, “Sir, it’s I who murdered and not my son. It’s me!”; and surrenders himself and proves the same, then the son will be set free and the father will bear the punishment. So, what will people say? “Son has committed a sin, father has taken the blame for it, son is a murderer, father has taken the blame.” People won’t say like that! They will say, “Did the father murder!? See, he is the murderer. He should accept the blame for the murder.” When Jesus died on the cross, Jesus did not say that, “They have all sinned, Mohan Lazarus has committed a sin and I will accept the blame. Father, I will die on the cross instead of him”. Instead He said, “I did that sin”. That’s why Jesus was made to be a sin on the cross. Forgiveness of sin is not received just like that! Beloved brother, sister, father, mother, it is not received just like that. Jesus also bore the blame for the sin on himself and hanged on the cross. He was made to be a sin.
Only then He can forgive us. Only then He can give us deliverance. So, because of the love He has for you and for me, See, all the sins that you have done. If you drink you will be called a drunkard, Jesus was made a drunkard on the cross. If you murder, Jesus was made a murderer on the cross. The blame of sin was also laid on him. He accepted that too and died. That’s why, only Jesus Christ can give you forgiveness of sins. Only Jesus can give forgiveness of sins and deliverance from sins to a man. Not only did He bear our sin, He also bore the blame for the sin. Did you see how much His love is? Speak to that Lord, Father, you made to be sin on the cross for me. Not only you bear my sins, You accepted the blame for my sin and bore that. I praise You Lord, thinking of that love. Cleanse me by Your blood. Make me holy. I shouldn’t sin anymore and grieve you.
I surrender myself. Your children are praying, Father. Have mercy on them and bless them by giving them happiness and joy of forgiveness of sins. Father, I pray in the name of Jesus.
