A foundational doctrine in the Bible that most Christians are not aware of

This is a foundational doctrine in the Bible
and is central to the Gospel message, yet many Christians are not aware of what the
Bible says about it. It’s time to UNLEARN the lies. UNLEARN Hey, welcome to UNLEARN. My name is Lex, and I’d like to invite you
to join us each week as we UNLEARN the lies and dig deeper into the truth of God’s Word. Now, let’s get started. According to the book of Hebrews, the resurrection
of the dead was considered one of the “elementary principles of Christ”, and was a foundational
doctrine among First Century believers. “Therefore, leaving the discussion of the
elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation
of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of
laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this we will do if God permits.” – Hebrews 6:1-3 The writer of Hebrews seems to indicate that
these things are so basic and fundamental that he did not see the need in laying again
the foundation. Unfortunately, the doctrine of the resurrection
of the dead is no longer a fundamental teaching among believers and this foundation needs
to be laid once again. Today, popular teachings about eternal life
speak about disembodied spirits in heaven rather than the hope we have in the resurrection. It seems the only resurrection that Christians
are aware of is the resurrection of Jesus. Most have little or no knowledge about their
own resurrection which will take place when Yeshua returns. In fact, a great number of preachers and teachers
have little or no understanding about the resurrection either, which is why they don’t
teach it to their congregations. Second century writers such as Irenaeus and
Justin Martyr wrote a number of arguments in favor of the resurrection of the body. Here is one example from Justin in which he
frankly states that anyone who denies the resurrection of the body is seeking to rob
us of the promise of eternal life. “They who maintain the wrong opinion say that
there is no resurrection of the flesh… And there are some who maintain that even
Jesus Himself appeared only as spiritual, and not in flesh, but presented merely the
appearance of flesh: these persons seek to rob the flesh of the promise.” – Fragments of the Lost Work of Justin on
the Resurrection We also know from studying the writings of
the early church that the resurrection of the dead was still a foundational doctrine
among believers even in the fourth and fifth centuries. In fact, the “Apostles Creed” includes
a statement about the bodily resurrection. “I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic
Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and
the life everlasting.” – The Apostles’ Creed The Apostles Creed is a statement of belief
that was compiled around the fourth century, and is still in use today. Likewise, the “Nicene Creed”, which was adopted
during the Second Ecumenical Council at Constantinople in 381 AD, contains a similar statement about
the resurrection. “…we acknowledge One Baptism for the forgiveness
of sins, the resurrection of the dead and of the age to come.” – Nicene Creed These early creeds were considered to be the
standard of faith for believers. They contained what was considered to be the
most important doctrines of their faith, and as such were recited every week during the
liturgy, as many still do today. This shows that not only was the resurrection
a confession of the early church, but that it has endured as a common creed until today. Yet, for some reason, this has not prevented
people from teaching contrary beliefs about life after death. The more I study the resurrection, the more
I am convinced of its importance to the Gospel message. In fact, I firmly believe that without the
resurrection we have no Gospel. “For if the dead do not rise, then Christ
is not risen. And if Christ is not risen, your faith is
futile; you are still in your sins!” – 1 Corinthians 15:16-17 Anyone who preaches the Gospel without speaking
about the resurrection of the dead is preaching an empty gospel, and according to Paul, their
“faith is futile”. The resurrection should be one of the very
first things we learn when we begin following Yeshua, that’s why the Bible says it is
an “elementary principle”. By definition, elementary principles pertain
to first things, these are the simple things that you learn first before moving on to more
difficult subjects. It’s the starting point and foundation for
building your understanding of other subjects. It was also a fundamental doctrine among the
Jewish people, who understood it for centuries prior. We see this in the dialogue between Yeshua
and Martha concerning the death of Lazarus, when she makes a matter-of-fact statement
about the “resurrection at the last day”. “Jesus said to her, ‘Your brother will
rise again.’ Martha said to Him, ‘I know that he will
rise again in the resurrection at the last day.’” – John 11:23 Martha had no idea that Yeshua was about to
raise her brother from the dead, and she thought He was trying to comfort her by reminding
her of the resurrection at the end of the age. This was obviously not new information to
her, as she seemed very familiar with the concept. However, she was in for a surprise when Yeshua
called Lazarus up from the grave, and she witnessed firsthand the power He has over
death itself. We know from other passages in the Bible that
there were mixed views about the resurrection. The Pharisees, who represented the orthodox
view, held to the belief in the resurrection of the dead, but the Sadducees were in opposition
to it. The controversy between Pharisees and Sadducees
over the resurrection of the dead is a topic that repeats several times throughout the
Gospels and Acts, and it’s one of the things we know for sure that Yeshua and His disciples
agreed with the Pharisees about. In fact, when Paul was on trial, we see this
was one of the arguments he made in his defense to gain the favor of the Pharisees. “But when Paul perceived that one part were
Sadducees and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, “Men and brethren, I am
a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee; concerning the hope and resurrection of the dead I am
being judged!” And when he had said this, a dissension arose
between the Pharisees and the Sadducees; and the assembly was divided. For Sadducees say that there is no resurrection
– and no angel or spirit; but the Pharisees confess both. Then there arose a loud outcry. And the scribes of the Pharisees’ party arose
and protested, saying, “We find no evil in this man; but if a spirit or an angel has
spoken to him, let us not fight against God.” ”
– Acts 23:8 The Sadducees also challenged Yeshua concerning
the resurrection of the dead. The Gospels record an account where some Sadducees
came to test Yeshua to see how He would respond to their difficult question. “The same day the Sadducees, who say there
is no resurrection, came to Him and asked Him, saying: “Teacher, Moses said that if
a man dies, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife and raise up offspring
for his brother. Now there were with us seven brothers. The first died after he had married, and having
no offspring, left his wife to his brother. Likewise the second also, and the third, even
to the seventh. Last of all the woman died also. Therefore, in the resurrection, whose wife
of the seven will she be? For they all had her.” Jesus answered and said to them, “You are
mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry
nor are given in marriage, but are like angels of God in heaven.” – Matthew 22:23-30 After saying this, Yeshua explained that God
is not the god of the dead. “But concerning the resurrection of the
dead, have you not read what was spoken to you by God, saying, ‘I am the God of Abraham,
the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? God is not the God of the dead, but of the
living.” And when the multitudes heard this, they were
astonished at His teaching.” – Matthew 22:31-33 People often claim that the phrase “God
is not the God of the dead, but of the living” is a reference to people being alive in heaven. However, the context of this statement has
absolutely nothing to do with heaven, and everything to do with the resurrection. Yeshua contrasts the “god of the dead”
with the “God of the living”, showing that the God of Abraham is unique among all
other gods. When we study ancient pagan cultures such
as the Egyptians, Babylonians, and Greeks, we find out that they all believed in a “god
of the dead” who ruled over the underworld. Death deities were some of the most important
gods to early pagan societies because they glorified death and looked forward to the
afterlife as their reward. Many pagan religions have a god of death and
they each represent the same idea that when we die our soul goes to be with that god. Unfortunately, many in the Church hold this
same belief about God, claiming that when we die we will go to heaven to be with Him. However, this stands in contrast to what Yeshua
was saying about the God of Abraham. The souls of the dead do not go to heaven
to be with God because God is not the god of the dead. The dead rest in their graves until the God
of the living brings them back to life at the resurrection. The prophet Daniel spoke about this, saying: “And many of those who sleep in the dust
of the earth shall awake, Some to everlasting life, Some to shame and everlasting contempt.” – Daniel 12:2 Yeshua spoke about this as well when He said: “Do not marvel at this; for the hour is
coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth – those
who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the
resurrection of condemnation.” – John 5:28-29 Notice that some are resurrected to everlasting
life and others are resurrected to condemnation. The Bible speaks about a resurrection for
both the righteous and the wicked. “I have hope in God, which they themselves
also accept, that there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust.” – Acts 24:15 To believe in Yeshua means we must also believe
in the resurrection, because Yeshua is the resurrection and the life. “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection
and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die,
he shall live.” – John 11:25 I think it’s time for us to make the resurrection
of the dead a foundational teaching once again. SHARE THE TRUTH

  1. Peace be with you my brother.

I am also fighting the good fight here in Durban, South Africa.

Many people have been deceived badly. But there are also many who believe in Yeshua now.

See you in heaven my brother.

  2. People are still in to their sins. They have not turn from their Wicked Ways. And salvation will not be granted to them. It Is by repentance and confessing of sins that people will be found worthy.

  3. The earth is flat and still with a firmament (i.e. dome), just like the Bible says. Time to get right with Jesus. Or Yeshua as this guy says. On a side note, I always remember the Sadducees don’t believe in the Resurrection. That’s why they’re Sad, you see?

  4. One foundational 'doctrine' is Ex 23:13. The 'name' of the Almighty is NOT 'god',,, but YHVH!!! Likewise the name of the Savior can't have a 'j' in it, for there was no 'j' until about 1500 AD. The name of the Savior IS spelled Yod hey vav shin ein, which would be transliterated YAHUSHA.

  5. If u translate from a foreign language into English say from ,Greek, Spanish, Arabic ,Latin to say a few and you didn't like the message that the texts recieved by G_D to his first chosen , then your ancestors came along killed them and scattered them like seeds across the world ,then hunted ,tortured, killed them by the millions , and u wonder why your, the messaih for humanity who believe in HIM and not jc the corporeal rabbi learner jc . But keep on blaming the Jews it's worked for you lot so far hasn't it.

  6. Lex, brother, but how do u explain Gen 4:10,
«And He said, "What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground."»
There are other verses about something crying out to God after death. I believe this is our spirit, which i believe can think, like a ghost canp The disciples thot they had seen a ghost when Jesus was walking on the water. Demons are spirits but they kud think enuf to ask Jesus question and even reason. Angels are spirits too but the think too, right?
Also as a few have already mentioned, Paul's statement that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord seems to indicate to me that our soul is eternal too. What's your take on that? How do u explain that?

  7. wow. I never ever thought there were any stupid questions. I did know there were stupid answers. Some of the questions asked by some of these Posters like Cheers show how shallow, thinnish, and superficial they are. Hey Cheerios. Did You have a SMIRK on Your face when You asked that DUMBED DOWN IMBECILIC QUESTION??

  8. Just had another thought – why did Jesus say to the thief who was crucified with him "This day you shall be with me in Paradise?"

  9. the catholic church hurts children, yet people sill send thier kids off to the sex chambers for thier dose of abuse. that church is downright satanic…end of story.

  10. and in addition to that, consider the saints that rose when Jesus rose. also known as the first fruits of His resurrection. matthew 27:52,53 amazing!

  11. Who was JESUS talking to on the mount of transfiguration? Moses and Elijah had been dead for hundreds of years? They were even visible those who were with JESUS….My belief(which means nothing) is that the body sleeps and the spirit lives on with GOD. In Revelation 6 the 9th verse,it states that the souls of those that had been slain for the word of GOD,cried out “how long oh LORD” until you judge and avenge our blood. It is obvious they were conscious ,in the presence of the LORD,under the alter.

  12. Why do you cut your hair and beard? Leviticus 19:27
You shall not round off the hair on your temples or mar the edges of your beard.

    Ezekiel 44:20

They shall not shave their heads or let their locks grow long; they shall surely trim the hair of their heads.

    Leviticus 21:5
They shall not make bald patches on their heads, nor shave off the edges of their beards, nor make any cuts on their body

  13. 1 THESSALONIANS 4: 13-18 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 2 CORINTHIANS 5: 8 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ HEBREWS 12: 22-24 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️IT IS WRITTEN ❤️

  14. In Philippians 1:23, Paul says I’m torn between my desire to remain on earth in my body and my desire “to depart and be with Christ.” This passage clearly teaches that Christians are immediately with Christ after death. Now, needless to say, soul sleep could not possibly have been more appealing to the Apostle Paul. If you doubt this, read his comments in 2 Corinthians 5. Here again he said he “would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.” For Paul, death is the preference, because he knows he will be at home with Christ. You may wish to take a moment to read 2 Cor. 5 for here you have Paul’s stunning description of what the new resurrected body will be like. Truly, the hope of the believer does not involve soul sleep, but to be present with Christ.

  15. Thanks for your teachings! There are a few I wish were a little longer, but I do appreciate your time and knowledge! Appreciate it!

  16. you quote the apostles creed!? really!!? Wow! when you read further it tells you I believe in the holy (totally UNHOLY) Catholic Church, etc, etc. And what's with these "Pharasiees"? They weren't believers in our Messiah? They weren't part of the council of nicea .BTW, Constantine took all of his pagan "priests" and just placed them in charge of the newly blasphemous "religion". If anyone worshiped as the Jews did. they were to be put to death on the spot. They were forced to work on the Sabbath, Friday nite sundown to Saturday nite sundown and forced to obstain on Sunday the day of worship of the sun. Constantine remained a worshiper of Sol invictus Mithra until his dying day. UNLEARN THE LIES! (normally you do such a great job, but?)

  18. Even Pope John Paul II admitted the catholic church 'made it up' (such as doctrines of eternal conscious torment, the immortal soul, etc.). Yet they follow Satan who lied in the Garden of Eden, saying: 'You shall NOT surely die.' But in reality, we all know we shall die, but thanks be to our Great God, he has provided our resurrection! Thank you so much for your ministry of truth! I'm so happy you are doing this and that you have the courage to do something about it! itellwhy

  19. I couldn't possibly believe anything that came from the Catholic Church. If there should be a real Apostle's Creed, it would have come from the original 12 apostles/post Judas. Ecclesiastes 12:6-7 Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern. Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return to God who gave it.

  20. The book of Revelation is almost completely metaphorical, not literal. It is expressed in physical terms with a hidden spiritual meaning.
Many here keep referring to Revelation 6:9-11 as literal, which it is not. If they were actually in "HEAVEN" as the modern church conception of heaven, why would advanced spiritual beings have any concern about how God is going to judge those who dwell on the earth?
That does not sound like a "HEAVEN", sounds more like worldly humans who are still doubting God…

  21. Most who hear the word Catholic they think of the church. When one looks up the word they find it also means as an adjective: free from provincial prejudices or attachments. At a time the Apostle's Creed was being utilized, being a time of Roman persecution and bigotry from separate states, this was the one thing a Christian could count on.

Catholic was a word that united the different Christian churches. If one declared themselves Catholic, they were saying they are a Christian, probably from another state.

Some Christians dropped the Catholic title as Christian became the more dominant name, and after Luther nailed up his 95 thesis.

The Word Catholic isn't bad, we just have to discern the context of it's use.

  22. Those physically dead, who are in Christ, are alive. The martyred saints are under the altar per Revelation 6:9-11. Those martyred are alive, coherent, speaking, reasoning, able to wear clothing (white robes). While they are 'resting', they are not asleep.

    Revelation 6:9-11
"When the Lamb broke the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God, and because of the testimony which they had maintained; and they cried out with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, will You refrain from judging and avenging our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” And there was given to each of them a white robe; and they were told that they should rest for a little while longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brethren who were to be killed even as they had been, would be completed also.

We also have to consider Paul's words to the Corinthians.

    2 Corinthians 5:8
"We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord."

In this we know at least two things for the believer:
    1) You and your body are separated.  You will be absent from your body.  When this separation occurs…
    2) You will be present with the Lord

Where is the Lord?  The Lord is at the right hand of the Father.  In Heaven.

Your body, which is corruptible, is not there with you.  It still needs to be redeemed.  It cannot enter Heaven in it's current state.  When Christ returns, God will bring with Jesus those who died in Him and redeem our corruptible bodies at that time (changing them into the incorruptible). (1 Corinthians 15)

Now look at scripture explaining what sleep means.

    1Thessalonians 4:14-16
"For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.  For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first."

Here in 1 Thessalonians 4 we see the term 'asleep in Jesus' defined as 'dead in Christ'.

The believer who has died physically   is separated from their body at death.  The corruptible body stays in the heart of the earth, waiting for redemption.  The spirit or soul goes to be with the Lord who is at the right hand of the Father in Heaven.  (As in our Father *who art in Heaven).

As we see in the Revelation, at the very least, the martyred saints are talking back and forth with the Lord (Yeshua).  This brings to mind Yeshua talking with the thief on the cross when he told the repentant thief that 'today' he would be with Yeshua in paradise.  'Today.'  The martyrs are present with Him now and so is the thief.

    Luke 16:19-31
The story of Lazarus and the rich man shows that those who die, who are not in Christ, will go into the flames.  They too are conscience, able to talk, to reason, make requests, feel, see.  This is not a parable.  Abraham was there too.  No false story was attributed to Abraham by our truthful spotless lamb.  This rich man was separated from his mortal body but he was very much aware and alert, but not receiving rest.  The rich man's body will also be 'made alive' in the resurrection of the unjust. (1 Corinthians 15)(Revelation 20)

We saw two examples of dead humans in scripture: one the just martyrs and one of the unjust rich man.  Whether just or unjust they were separated from their mortal bodies and present somewhere else.  The martyrs were present with the Lord, actually talking back and forth with Him in Heaven where He is currently at the right hand of the Father.  The rich man was not present with the Lord and was already in torment.

  23. Here is another forgotten teaching. The plain and literal interpretation of scripture( unless symbolism is apparent, but scripture majority of the time interprets it for you). No need for what I call" sanctified imagination " for interpretation of scripture.

  24. lex the letters of justin martyn ignatius of antioch tertullian are found in the catechism of the catholic church they mix truth with error. these are the same church 'forgers' who says that 7th day sabbath changed to 1st day. since you teach this in your video, many will follow their false teaching. pls remove the church forgers from this video.

  25. The thing I find silly is the fact that saying yeshua, as an American, serves no one but the ones who know it. If Christ died for all, and the apostles spoke to all, then should we not refer to christ in the way he has always been referred to in this country. Paul had knew the difference between the sadduccees and the pharisees, and used this difference to his advantage when in court. He spoke to each church in terms they understood. He loved practically, and wasnt overly righteous. I understand Lex's use of yeshua, but for the sake of effective and efficient gospel I see it more beneficial to refer to him by a common name and then walk that person through the names that refer to him, and why we use Jesus now. After all if it was worthless we soundly would avoid it, as if his name were Carl.

  26. The ressurection is of yourself. To be born again. Repent . I have come only for the sick in the House of Israel. The story laid before you, and you cannot see.

  27. Odd, this has always been an understanding in my circles. Some of the things you cover hit me as "Huh, never heard of that" and others that I find to be "common" knowledge. It makes me think that certain doctrines may be more or less important in different geographical or even sociological areas.

  28. Psalms 104:19 "god appointed the MOON FOR FESTIAVLS".

Leviticus 23 – god lists 8 festivals. The #1 festival listed is the 7th day sabbath.

So the 7th day Sabbath is determined by the moon! Wake up people, there's more lies to unlearn.

  29. The Flesh and the spirit two different things a body without a spirit is dead. I mean the flesh can be Resurrected but it's kind of like that Roman philosophy jazz with the ship having pieces of it replaced as it goes on through its Journey. Actually I think about it maybe night I mean got to grab the same materials like rewind I'm Type situation I mean God can do whatever he wants. But I'm starting to feel like there is some weird Jazz about spiritualism God is spiritual I mean that's not to say that he doesn't mess with the natural also. The greatest scientist that ever existed so I have no doubts that You Could reconstruct my body and breathe my soul back into my new Immortal flesh and change it and make it even better than when was

  30. This brings me back to the whole thing of gnosticism and Paul like I really hope you did not write some of his Jazz specifically because of narcissism. I get it I understand they talk in some crazy jazz and you didn't want people to get confused or what have you I even think that is possible like it's possible anywhere the enemy probably infiltrated them like it has the church and many other faiths, thus the great delusion/ paranoia. I mean the enemy doesn't care if we or anyone believes in him or not he's in everybody's camp playing all sides even in your own head IDK

  31. I'm like IDK still because I don't think here which is this body is us We Are Spiritual Beings where what makes his body live. Looking back to Genesis until big dude breathed a living Soul into the body he made it was not life and when the body can no longer sustain its function the soul leaves and returns to God or Shaul I don't remember if I'm spelling it right but you know based off of what she talked about Empire videos the whole idea of Hell came from paganism so yeah but we go there we wait for judgment we get judged and big dude bakes us a new body for our soul to live in. And whether you want to say he makes it or he regenerates it whatever it may be I mean IDK. I'm still kind of leaning on the fence of making it for the simple fact that couple thousand years ago and so on they didn't have coffins and things to preserve the bodies bones and everything is fossilized and pushed deep within the Earth. Now that's not to say that I think. Can't pull everything back together, God is God The Great I Am King of Kings Lord of lords the existing one, the invisible/faith God, the above all, the so on and so forth, the names that will never cease, etc , Infinity, do you get what I'm saying, never ending, not going to reach the end, by time I list everything that God is I will be dead and there will still be names/title/ descriptions/ comparisons/ symbols/ signs………………….[…..]………

  32. Looking in a spiritual sense I wonder whether or not that whole thing you like a dream sequence as you have been consumed by step God. That aside as it's mostly just a theory and speculation of the after wellmore of the spiritual really. I never gave it much thought I mean at first year as a kid I thought we'd all go to heaven with the angels but as I read stuff I figured we'd all stay here or come back here the whole remaking our bodies new reboot the universe type jazz. Then probably after a thousand years well not probably you get what I mean Lucifer's let loose again to do whatever crazy trickery and IDK maybe we start to cycle over again or he just gets put him down again we just continue convert to a new world in eternity.

  33. So do the unjust get thrown in gehenna after getting Resurrected okay I thought that was a spiritual thing or is it brought here or is that what they call the core. Just some thoughts and ponderings, always thought it was just the just that we're getting Resurrected didn't know about those scriptures

  34. This is a very basic Biblical principle. I am thankful to have gained understanding of it. I grew up in your typical Sunday church that is spoon fed doctrine from the mainstream sources. Once I gained understanding of the Sabbath (seventh day sabbath to be clear) many of these basic Biblical truths began lining up. The fact that we don't go to heaven immediately when we die was one. Another was the fact that hell is not a place of eternal torture but rather eternal separation from God in death. This is spot on and thank you for sharing it!

  35. Unlearned; Is the resurrection of the dead really a lost doctrine? The focus of the Church is and has always been on the physical resurrection, while the real lost focus of Christianity is, the resurrection of the new life that we come to know when we are born again. Jn. 5:24,25. This resurrection of spirit life in the believer is the resurrection that really matters and without it, there will be no physical resurrection, correct?

  36. Indeed, churches and pastors these days hardly talk about the resurrection doctrine, including most evangelists. Now, I understand the term when Jesus said our God is the God of the living. Thank you for this teaching and knowledge.

  37. To The unlearn team. I would just like to ask, how you interpret the story Jesus told, of the rich man and Lazarus.
LUKE 16 V 19-31. To my understanding, this story would make no sense at all, if the dead are not conscious. Why would Jesus tell a whole story based on something, that was Biblically NOT TRUE doctrine. His listeners would be scratching their heads.
    Whats he on about??????

  38. I'd like to know why Cain's lineage given all the credit in the Bible.he kills Abel is cursed and cast into exile then suddenly tu bal Cain and ju bal cain et all get credit for inventing foundations of society and industry.why wouldn't gods true record come from Seth line or any of Adams other offspring since you'd assume they developed differently than the outcast cain

  39. Isn't the ressurection permanent? Lazarus was raised by Yahoshua And yet he's not still here. Sort of ovens Yahoshua is not "God"

  40. Flesh and blood can not inherit the Kingdom though. I was always taught and understood that the 1st resurrection was to Spirit and the 2nd death has no power over them. The 2nd resurrection is to flesh.?

  41. Satan’s greatest ambassadors are not pimps, politicians, or power-brokers, but pastors.
His priests do not peddle a different religion, but a deadly perversion of the true one.
His troops do not make a full-out frontal assault, but work as agents, sneaking into the opposing army.
Satan’s tactics are studied, clever, predictable, effective. Therefore, we must always remain vigilant.
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits” (Matthew 7:15-16a).

  43. While I agree with his conclusion , you MUST use scripture to prove scripture . Quoting outside sources does not prove scripture .I do not care what anyone says , It MUST be in the Bible .
1st Corinthians 15:1-4 gives us the gospel of grace . You must believe Jesus rose from the dead, it is foundational to our faith .

  44. For believers death is to be away from the body and at home with the lord “So we always have confidence. We know that while we live in this body, we are away from the Lord. We live by what we believe will happen, not by what we can see. So I say that we have confidence. And we really want to be away from this body and be at home with the Lord. Our only goal is to always please the Lord, whether we are living here in this body or there with him. We must all stand before Christ to be judged. Everyone will get what they should. They will be paid for whatever they did—good or bad—when they lived in this earthly body.”
    ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:6-10‬ ‭ERV‬‬
“It would be a hard choice.

“It would be a hard choice. Sometimes I want to leave this life and be with Christ. That would be much better for me;”
    ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1:23‬ ‭ERV‬‬

“I tell you this, brothers and sisters: Our bodies of flesh and blood cannot have a part in God’s kingdom. Something that will ruin cannot have a part in something that never ruins. But listen, I tell you this secret: We will not all die, but we will all be changed. It will only take the time of a second. We will be changed as quickly as an eye blinks. This will happen when the last trumpet blows. The trumpet will blow and those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we will all be changed. This body that ruins must clothe itself with something that will never ruin. And this body that dies must clothe itself with something that will never die.”
    ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:50-53‬ ‭ERV‬‬

“Brothers and sisters, we want you to know about those who have died. We don’t want you to be sad like other people—those who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died, but we also believe that he rose again. So we believe that God will raise to life through Jesus any who have died and bring them together with him when he comes. What we tell you now is the Lord’s own message. Those of us who are still living when the Lord comes again will join him, but not before those who have already died. The Lord himself will come down from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. And the people who have died and were in Christ will rise first. After that we who are still alive at that time will be gathered up with those who have died. We will be taken up in the clouds and meet the Lord in the air. And we will be with the Lord forever.”
    ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭4:13-17‬ ‭ERV‬‬
These verses describe believers being resurrected and getting glorified bodies but then what is the point of the resurrection if we believers go to be with the lord as soon as we die it seems to me that the body of the believer stays in the grave asleep and is reunited with the our spirit/soul at the resurrection and then once we are reunited with our bodies that will be glorified and transformed into the image of Christ we will be living in the new heaven and earth with them and for the unbelievers they seem to be sent to a temporary holding place/ punishment waiting to be resurrected and judged and sent to there final destination hell

“Jesus said, “There was a rich man who always dressed in the finest clothes. He was so rich that he was able to enjoy all the best things every day. There was also a very poor man named Lazarus. Lazarus’ body was covered with sores. He was often put by the rich man’s gate. Lazarus wanted only to eat the scraps of food left on the floor under the rich man’s table. And the dogs came and licked his sores. “Later, Lazarus died. The angels took him and placed him in the arms of Abraham. The rich man also died and was buried. He was sent to the place of death and was in great pain. He saw Abraham far away with Lazarus in his arms. He called, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me! Send Lazarus to me so that he can dip his finger in water and cool my tongue. I am suffering in this fire!’ “But Abraham said, ‘My child, remember when you lived? You had all the good things in life. But Lazarus had nothing but problems. Now he is comforted here, and you are suffering. Also, there is a big pit between you and us. No one can cross over to help you, and no one can come here from there.’ “The rich man said, ‘Then please, father Abraham, send Lazarus to my father’s house on earth. I have five brothers. He could warn my brothers so that they will not come to this place of pain.’ “But Abraham said, ‘They have the Law of Moses and the writings of the prophets to read; let them learn from that.’ “The rich man said, ‘No, father Abraham! But if someone came to them from the dead, then they would decide to change their lives.’ “But Abraham said to him, ‘If your brothers won’t listen to Moses and the prophets, they won’t listen to someone who comes back from the dead.’””
    ‭‭Luke‬ ‭16:19-31‬ ‭ERV‬‬
Unbelievers aren’t sent to there eternal place yet but there temporary one is not a pleasant one and then everyone will be raised the good and the bad to be judged at the great white throne of judgment by jesus

“Everyone must die once. Then they are judged.”
    ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭9:27‬ ‭ERV‬‬

  45. I have a question. The scripture you just read about the Pharisee asking who's wife she'd be. When JESUS said they don't know the scripture. Which scripture other than that one is in the bible about being given in marriage? Or is that one of the scripture we are missing from the king James version?

  46. Can you guys do a debate series? Like a long form discussion like Jordan Peterson and Sam Harris are doing? Would love to hear a civilized discussion on this stuff, examining all view points.

  47. Christians should NOT speak those "early creeds" because they leave OUT many of the important Words of God: the PURPOSE of the creeds was to gather into the "fold" as many of the public as would say and believe them (and the leaders that formed those creeds did not believe or FOLLOW God FULLY); they are NOT TORAH, which has many fine points, the least of which is the so-called "least of the commandments", to which Christ referred, which are not "least" at all, but are the fine points for which the leaving out, would cause that person to be called "least" in the Kingdom, implying he won't be IN the Kingdom, but will be referred to in the Kingdom as the "least". If we ADD to God's Words, we have the plagues added to our lives and if we diminish from God's Words He will remove our name from the Book of Life. God doesn't compromise with sin. He told Moses, "by no means clear the guilty", which means we have to repent of ALL SIN, not just some sin. 🙂

  48. I don't understand. The Zadok priest marry. So is the Resurrection a period of time, unlike the Millennial Kingdom.

  49. I agree that we will sleep in our graves. but God will be there in spirit. We will have love, Joy, and peace in the place of the dead. These are Gods presence. I have seen David in his resting place, I heard him play the harp. I was filled with love from God

  50. Everyone forgets this passage in matthew 27: 50-53. When Jesus resurrected, the people that died that had faith in him, rose from their graves and went back to their towns.

  51. I'm need prayer for my eyes be open and my heart soften and I not have a seared conscuence iwas told all things are possible with God no where does it say God wouldn't heal a seared consvience. Please if somone believe God can pray that my conscience be healed not seared and revived and let God do this and fir my heart deeply understand this teaching and believe in my heart completelyin it for sure. And strong foundation of faith in God and deep repentance from sin especially fear and self destructive behaviour God. God grant me.
Please If this is too much then just pray my conscience please be healed of all damage or seared and be revived and let God do so.

  52. I think the Daniel passage is key regarding the dichotomy of judgement and both parties, which make up the whole of persons/souls defines them as being resurrected.

  53. Then what will you do to explain the new testament scripture that says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord? I feel that things are being explained away too easy from a biased point of view and not necessarily from taking ALL of scripture and rightly dividing the word of God. The resurrection of the earthly body does not exempt ones spirit from being with God in the meantime.

  54. Santa Claus is Jesus' Father. And don't tell me I'm wrong or you'll be bashing and violating my religious liberty.

  55. I have studied often about the resurrection of the Dead but I get confused about a statement that Christ made to the thieves on the cross he told a man today you will be with me in Paradise what am I missing?

  56. What of the thief on the cross? Luke 23:39-43
39 One of the criminals who were hanged there was hurling abuse at Him, saying, “Are You not the Christ? Save Yourself and us!” 40 But the other answered, and rebuking him said, “Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? 41 And we indeed are suffering justly, for we are receiving what we deserve for our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.” 42 And he was saying, “Jesus, remember me when You come ]in Your kingdom!” 43 And He said to him, “Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise.”

  57. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Seem that the speaker failed this test of scripture. I'm with the Lord on this point.

  58. if you see this please do a video on Catholicism I'm not Catholic I'm completely Christian but I'm curious on what your thoughts are about it

  59. It's a nice thought that a loved on who has pass is now in "a better place " rather than them lying in a grave for a millinia. This is the problem with people wanting to hear only what makes them feel good, regardless of truth. We don't know how "resting" in the grave actually works. It could be like sometimes when you fall asleep, then wake up not realizing how much time has passed. So, seems like you just closed your eyes for a second but in actually, hours has passed. Maybe that's what it like for those that have passed….just a thought

  60. So this means that physical work on my body is of some value thanks God. Then again it literally said that in the bible.

  61. One day I will be ressurected to the heavenly places to. Which I'm called. Blessed with christ in the heavenly places not with Abraham on the earth.

  62. Which Christian don’t believe in the resurrection of the dead?? You really misrepresenting Christians. Those who die before Christ will be in heaven, but our bodies will be resurrected when Christ return. Stop lieing

  63. Great video,….thank you. I learn ( and unlearn) so much from watching them. Question: can you please clarify the meaning of the scripture” absent from the body, present with the Lord”? In light of what we know about resting in the dirt and rising at the resurrection, this scripture is difficult to comprehend. Thank you Lex.

  64. Dear brother I always listen your program because in it I learn so many deep things of the Bible
Your biblical thoughts are matchless. May God bless you more wisdom and knowledge.

  65. What about Elijah and Enoch? Did they go to heaven?

This topic, which is so important, is driving me crazy! So much conflicting views!

  66. Wolves tell the truth part of the time. This man is not good. False Teacher. Come on my show and debate anytime.
