Welcome back guys! My name’s Alex Pompa and thank you so much for taking the time to check out this video. If this is yout firs time, welcome, my name’s Alex and let’s just jump right into the video! So today I want to talk about real quick, just growing boldness in your faith. There are so many of us that have faced some type of fear, and who have really been held back in growing in boldness, and growing in confidence, by our own insecurities and by our own fears. We all have dreams and goals for ourselves, like a bucket list, these are all things all of us have. But it can be so easy to really let these things get stuck in the bucket list and not even having us actually obtaining these goals. We get so caught up on what will go wrong, and we don’t focus enough on what will go right. Just growing boldness in your faith is such a powerful thing, because growing boldness is an act of faith. The Bible talks about all over how being a Christian and being a follower of Christ, it really is a free fall with your relationship with God. God may call you to do some things that may seem just absolutely insane and just crazy and really require an act of faith and an act of boldness. So this video is dedicated to the people out there who are afraid in growing in boldness um, and maybe who are praying about it and don’t quite know the steps to take on how to grow in boldness. So the first thing is, have a relationship with God. Actually take the time to get to know Him! There is a difference between knowing God and having a relationship with God. For me personally , I’ve always been a Christian. I was born into Christianity, I was born in the church- not physically born in the church- but you know what I (lightly aughs) you know what I mean! I was raised in the church at a- for as long as I can remember. And I thought I had a relationship with God, but little did I know I never personally knew God until I was 21 and until I went through some things and ordeals. It required me to actually have a relationship with God and call out to Him and through these things, is when I found myself and I found my identity in Christ. And that’s the thing right there, When you find God, you discover your identity. What people think of you- you no longer care anymore because you found yourself in God. You realize you’re beautiful. You realize you are a piece of art. You realize you are perfectly imperfect and God doesn’t expect you to be perfect. He expects you to love Him, he expects you to put Him first, He expects you to try your best to be more like Him But He doesn’t actually expect us to be perfect. There is nowhere in the Bible that says that. And the second thing is, step out in your faith. If there is someone on your heart that you’r really wanting to pray for or maybe you’re at church and you see someone from high school you haven’t seen in about five years. But there’s this little tug on your heart to go over to them and say hi- But you have no idea and you may be terrified! That might be the Holy Spirit, actually guiding you and encouraging you to talk to them. And you have no idea the impact it might have on them. The Lord might use you in those moments. So, and that’s just an example. There are going to be moments placed in our lives that are going to be testing our boldness. For us to grow in faith, it requires acts of boldness and it requires trust. Expect the criticism as well. When we grow in boldness and growing in anything we do, Expect to be criticized. Expect people to not like the fact that you’re growing. Expect people to not like the fact that the words that they’re saying to you, can’t get to you. It’s biblically said right here in Psalm 56:3-6. I’m going to read ESV version. “When I am afraid I put my trust in you. In God whose words I praise and God I trust. I shall not be afraid . What can flesh do to me? All day long they injure my cause, all their thoughts are against me for evil. They stir up like strife, they lurk, they watch my footsteps as they have waited for my life.” I could not relate to this verse so much.. because It’s this verse right here that really put me in perspective because I really related to this verse. There are so many times Ihave stopped myself from uh- goals, from dreams because I get so worried about people criticizing me. I get so worried about people- what will this person say? Well what if I end up making a fool of myself? But little did I realize that that desire was placed inside of me because God put that there for a reason. And He’s going to be there with me the entire time of my journey. And He’s going to be with you, the entire time of your journey! And whatever desire He placed in you, that was not an accident. That was placed in you for a reason. And owning that. Walking in your calling, and waking in your faith. It’s-It’s the best part of the journey. Is free falling. It’s really free falling and trusting God’s going to be there to pick you up. That was just three little things I wanted to share on just growing in boldness. I really can talk a lot about confidence and boldness because this is a subject, that I have struggled with for so many years of my life is confidence and boldness. But these are just three little nuggets I wanted to share and a verse that just really helped me a lot related to this topic.
