Is Once Saved Always Saved Biblical?

Once saved always saved is a popular Christian
doctrine, but is it Biblical? It’s time to UNLEARN the lies. UNLEARN Hey, welcome to UNLEARN. My name is Lex, and I’d like to invite you
to join us each week as we UNLEARN the lies and dig deeper into the truth of God’s Word. Now, let’s get started. The doctrine of once saved always saved, also
known as the Perseverance of the saints, or eternal security, is a Christian teaching
that says once a person is truly saved, they cannot lose their salvation. It’s important to point out that there are
two main forms in which this doctrine takes place. The original understanding of this doctrine
was that those who are truly saved will live a life of righteousness leading to sanctification,
and will never fall away from the faith. Those who adhere to this doctrine claim that
if a person falls away, they were never truly saved to begin with. A more modern form of this doctrine says that
once you are saved, you cannot become unsaved, even if you live like an unbeliever, and even
if you stop believing. I see no good qualities in this understanding,
and I believe it’s a perversion of the Gospel that leads people into lawless behavior, and
I do not see any Scriptural support for their claims. In fact, I believe Peter warns against this
type of false security that leads to lawlessness. “You therefore, beloved, since you know
this beforehand, BEWARE LEST YOU ALSO FALL FROM YOUR OWN STEADFASTNESS, being LED AWAY
with the error of the LAWLESS” – 2 Peter 3:17 In contrast, I see some very good qualities
in the original understanding of the perseverance of the saints doctrine, which says those who
are truly saved will live a life that reflects it, they will be sanctified by the Holy Spirit,
and they will abide in Messiah. However, I believe they are ignoring certain
verses in Scripture that indicate that people can fall away and losing their salvation. For example, the book of Hebrews says if we
fall away, we cannot be renewed to repentance. “For it is impossible for those who were
once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy
Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, IF THEY
FALL AWAY, to renew them AGAIN TO REPENTANCE, since they crucify again for themselves the
Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.” – Hebrews 6:4-6 To fall away from the faith implies that you
were once part of the faith. You can’t fall away from something you were
not part of to begin with. The once saved always saved crowd says those
who fall away were never really saved to begin with, but this verse says otherwise. It speaks about them being partakers of the
Holy Spirit, which indicates they were saved and given the indwelling of the Holy Spirit,
but it says “if they fall away”, which indicates it is possible to fall away even
after being enlightened and receiving the Holy Spirit. How is this possible? How could someone who is truly saved fall
away? Our Messiah said that we must remain in Him,
or else we will be cut off. “REMAIN IN ME, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself,
unless it REMAINS in the vine, neither can you, unless you REMAIN IN ME. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who REMAINS IN ME, and I in him, bears
much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not REMAIN IN ME, he is cast
out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire,
and they are burned.” – John 15:4-6 To remain in Him indicates that those who
are broken off were once in Him, but did not remain. They were believers but didn’t hold on to
their faith in Messiah. They fell away and were broken off, withered,
and cast into the fire. This shows that some start out in the faith
but do not keep the faith, and as a result they lose their salvation. Now, listen to the warning that was given
by the Holy Spirit to Paul about believers departing from the faith. “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter
times some will DEPART FROM THE FAITH, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of
demons” – 1 Timothy 4:1 To depart from the faith means you had faith
to begin with. Salvation is conditioned on faith. We are saved by having faith in Messiah. So, it stands to reason that if we lose our
faith in Messiah, we lose the salvation He gives to those who have faith. Consider what Paul said about those who are
broken off because of unbelief. “Because of unbelief they were broken off,
and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear. For if God did not spare the natural branches,
He may not spare you either. Therefore consider the goodness and severity
of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, IF YOU CONTINUE in His goodness. Otherwise you also WILL BE CUT OFF. And they also, if they do not continue in
unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.” – Romans 11:20-23 Paul is saying that we must remain, we must
continue, we must persevere in our faith, or else we will be cut off. One must have faith to begin with if they
are expected to persevere in it. He is writing about people who are already
grafted into the tree, they already have faith in Messiah, they are joined with God’s people,
and He said they will be cut off because of unbelief. Peter also writes about those who have received
salvation but turn back to a life of sin. “For if, after they have escaped the pollutions
of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again
entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. For it would have been better for them not
to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to TURN from the holy commandment
delivered to them. But it has happened to them according to the
true proverb: “A dog returns to his own vomit,” and, “a sow, having washed, to her wallowing
in the mire.” – 2 Peter 2:20-22 He is showing us that it is possible for someone
who has escaped sin and found salvation to once again return to sin and lose his salvation. The proverbial dog returning to his own vomit. Ultimately, I believe the once saved always
saved argument is based on a faulty premise. The premise is that we can’t lose something
we’ve already attained. However, the Bible indicates that we have
not fully attained salvation yet. Yeshua said, “But he who endures to the end shall be
saved.” – Matthew 24:13 Our salvation has not been completed yet. When we believe on Yeshua, when we come to
faith in Him, we start the salvation process. We are in the process of being saved. The book of Acts refers new converts as those
who are “being saved”. “…the Lord added to the church daily those
who were BEING SAVED.” – Acts 2:47 Paul says the message of the Gospel is powerful
to those who are “being saved”. “For the message of the cross is foolishness
to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” – 1 Corinthians 1:18 He also speaks about those who are being saved
in contrast with those who are perishing. “For we are to God the fragrance of Christ
among those who are BEING SAVED and among those who are perishing.” – 2 Corinthians 2:15 The Bible speaks about salvation in past,
present, and future tense. We have been saved, we are being saved, and
we will be saved. Paul explains that we have already been justified
by the blood of Messiah, but our salvation from wrath has not yet happened. “Much more then, having now been justified
by His blood, we SHALL BE SAVED from wrath through Him. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled
to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we SHALL BE
SAVED by His life.” – Romans 5:9-10 Notice he said we shall be saved through Messiah. It is only through Him that we will be able
to attain salvation. If we remain in Yeshua and endure to the end
we shall be saved. We have been saved by grace through faith,
and we are being saved by remaining in Messsiah, and we will be saved when He returns, if we
endure in our faith to the end. SHARE THE TRUTH

100 thoughts on “Is Once Saved Always Saved Biblical?”

  1. OSAS is a bizarre logic Calvinism supported invented via the “TULIP” doctrine set.
Salvation has plenty of conditions and warnings thus its protection it offers, is what is at risk and a soul in a pitched battle for eternity.
it is a race that must be kept until the end.
Literally 95% of churchianity is confounded about this thing.

  2. If you do not see scriptural support for eternal security you misunderstand ALL scripture concerning being born again, the power of God to save, and any scripture that seems to refute OSAS. Salvation is NOT probationary, nor dependent upon what Man does after being born again. You are clearly NOT trusting Jesus, the finisher of our faith, but a doctrine of devils. THis kind of thinking makes me really sad

  3. We are warned from Genesis to Revelation that we must obey God to escape His wrath. Pretty simple. The devil convinced Eve that she would not die and so she disobeyed God and died spiritually, then Adam, whom the Bible says wasn't deceived, ate also and died spiritually. The devil is still telling people the same lie that they can't die and people keep on believing him instead of believing all the warnings of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation.

  4. There's a difference between backsliding and falling away (committing apostasy) like Hebrews 6:4-6 is talking about. James 5:19-20 describes a backslidden Christian who still has hope just like Galatians 6:1. Peter backslid and had to be reconverted. A good number of Christians backslide and come back to the Lord. Please don't tell someone who wants to come back to God that they can't and use Hebrews 6:4-6 for your support. Instead be the one like James speaks about that converts the sinner from the error of his way and save a soul from death! And like the one Paul spoke about who restores the one who is overtaken in a fault if you are spiritual enough to do so.

  5. The verse you quoted from Hebrews 6:4-6 is understood to be speaking to the Hebrew (or Jewish Christians) who had "tasted" the heavenly gift, but didn't swallow it per say. Instead they had one foot in and one foot out (flirting with Christianity and Judaism both), but then reverted back to the law and animal sacrifices, therefore treating Christ's sacrifice as insufficient, and by going back to animal sacrifices, they are crucifying Christ again and putting him to an open shame. So, it would be impossible for them to be renewed to repentance again (by the way of animal sacrifice and law keeping), because Christ is the only way to salvation.

  6. Is there any greater argument against Sola Scriptura than the comment section on this video? Protestants arguing against Protestants each armed with their own understanding and authority. Great video btw.

  7. @unlearn the lies – do you think God is lenient and merciful on those who have been taught about this idea of radical grace… and by that I mean these church’s that emphasize that God will forgive you of any sin as long as you ask. I think this confuses people and think they can keep on sinning.. or maybe they weren’t really saved in the first place & then can get saved when they really realize what the gospel says?

  8. woah woah wait wait … Matthew 24: 13 is about the tribulation read the whole chapter Matthew 24:22 is talking about flesh be saved not soul!

  9. Because if unbelief. Unbelief is what cuts you off. If you walk exactly like the world your actions show your unbelief

  10. Romans 5:9-10 1599 Geneva Bible
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
10 For if when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life
'shall be saved from wrath' will happen at the moment of the pre-Jacob's Trouble-rapture, seven years prior to the Second Coming of JESUS.

  11. its like saying once married always married, that doesn't make sense since we all know that we can get divorced, we have free will to choose which gate we will enter the wide or the narrow

  12. You’re confused if you and your earthly father were once close then later you despised your father hate him or want nothing to do with him do you stop being his son? Can also be the case with your Heavenly Father. Your reasoning is just as The catholic church and others who say the bride has taken the place of Israel and that so precious you are calling God a liar. So be careful walking that tight rope of losing your salvation meaning every night you pray you have to ask and repent also should you be baptized over and over again after you receive the Holy Spirit . Think of it as a very hot coal fresh out of the fire pit When left alone it becomes cold in the spirit but never stops becoming a piece of coal nonetheless…. if you could what do you think of John 10: 28-30

  13. Lex I have a question for you. At the end of the verse you referenced -Romans 11 :20-23 he does say that God can graft them in again. So I wonder exactly how you interpret that. If you could take the time to address this question I would highly appreciate your opinion! God bless !🙏🙏🙏

  14. How can you reconcile your view that osas is false with the truth in the omniscience , omnipresence and sovereignty of God which are compatible with osas? If you cannot then you are a heretic, plain and simple.

  15. Tell me, does an confessed sin remove ones salvation?
    Ellen G white says so.
Ellen says that you are being JUDGED by Jesus today for every thought and action.
Ellen and the Adventist church cant have Judment in process with out the threat of Grace being removed.
It is integral to the Adventist , ellen doctrine that the law is binding on us today and jesus is judging us in the investigative Judgement.
Grace cant cover some sins apparently!

  16. The Adventist story goes Christ save me by his grace by my faith until I commit a sin.
Then I come under Judgement. Grace at that point fails me.
So I am not under the law until I break a law!
The maintenance of my salvation is thus on my Shoulders.
The Adventist calls Grace alone faith alone a cheap grace.
So what is the Adventist Gospel?
Its a temporary stay of execution that you may miss out on if you are good.
    Rom 5:2

By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
We have access by faith but exit because of works! Not what this text says but what the preachers of law say.
I stand, Adventists have no such assurance as their flesh could let them down

  17. You know what adventists truley dont get?
That believers today have righteousness freely credited to there account.
Because they consider themselves being Judged they are unable to accept this.
    How so very sad.
They have no assurance of salvation for there very next action could be the one that condemns them to the great Pool of unsaved Adventists.
Now if they wish to argue they do have assurance of Salvation its a sevy version that means they are assured of salvation as long as they stay the right side of the law and confession regime.
Its actually all of Christ and to think your miserable efforts in law keeping are being judged you really are in LA LA Land.

  18. This doctrine will confuse you until you keep in mind what happened to Judas compared to what happened to Peter and the 10 other Apostles.

Judas was definitely a partaker of the Holy Spirit. He even walked and talked to Jesus. He was Jesus' treasurer but the Bible says he was a devil from the start – he was unsaved.

Peter and the 10 others were saved but it didn't mean they wouldn't stumble. They surely stumbled but were restored. Jesus prayed for them.

People can permanently fall from the faith but it just means they were never saved even though they appeared to be part of the Lord's fold. Anyone who is His true sheep can stray but Jesus will restore the person – the straying is not forever.

The sheep are kept by the Almighty power of God.

This is very plain in the words of Jesus in the book of John and everything else in the Bible must be understood in this framework.

  19. This HERETIC is TWISTING SCRIPTURE, and TAKING IT OUT OF CONTEXT ! TOO BAD HE IS NOT ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED, LIKE I AM !!!!!!!

  20. It says in Romans that we've been set free from sin to become slaves of righteousness. When you are born again you gain a distaste for sinful things even if you stumble and fall or have struggles in your life your desire will always be towards righteousness. I spent many years backslidden. But I did not give up my faith in Jesus. There's always hope of repentance and being healed. The Bible says God is married to the backslider. The only way to lose the presence of the Holy Spirit is to stop believing in him. Jesus said judgement comes because of unbelief. Because that's the only sin that God cannot forgive. And if we say we have no sin we are a liar but if we confess our sins God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins.

  21. People DO NOT even know what it means to be SAVED and neither do MOST ministers, priests, reverends, and pastors. Being saved is not just TALK. Being saved is something completely REAL and requires a person to study and fully understand the Bible to know what being a Born Again Christian is.

  22. You're teaching in this video is not scriptural. The Bible teaches that we were chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world. In other words, God chose his family that will be in heaven with him, he chose before the foundation of the world. Another point we can't lose our salvation is when we accept Christ we are sealed with the holy Spirit of promise, until the day of redemption.

  23. God chooses you and you do not choose God for salvation. Therefore, If you are truly saved (born again) by God. You belong to him forever. You can NOT be unborn again from God. Eternal life starts when you are born again. When you die, you are in deep sleep. God wakes you up. If God takes away eternal life than it was not eternal life to begin with. We still Sin because the sinful nature is still there until God finishes the work in you. You are his child in that moment forever. God says these other things in the Bible to keep us in the faith. God does not think like us at all. God is Sovereign. He has to come to our level of understanding to speak to us in the Bible. You have to be careful with literally and figuratively words in the Bible and it's translation from the original language.

  24. The things you've said and the scriptures you've quoted, I've known them since my time as an atheist. The fact that many professing "christians" delude themselves with the false security of OSAS just blows my mind. Small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

  25. The "born again" event (salvation) happens one time when a person believes the Gospel message.
It is God's Covenant with man, not man's Covenant with God.
Ephesians chapter 1 says it is guaranteed. (When a person believes.)
    Read it.
If salvation can be lost, that means God is not able to keep His Covenant.
People on YouTube make some dumb videos.

  26. This is a false teaching. It is finished saints. God sent Jesus who died for our sin. Jn 3:16. If you try to save yourself, you reject the plan of God and will be lost. Don’t fall for the lie.

  27. The Bible says that turning away from the Holy Spirit is the only sin that can’t be forgiven. That alone tells you that you can lose your salvation if you turn away.

  28. Who saved you? Or did you accept salvation. If Jesus saved you then you're saved but if you accepted Him then you've got a problem.

  29. No one on earth in this system of things have been saved. They must past the test after the thousand years of learning the correct way to worship God and live by his Holy principles. God's Kingdom will rule under the leadership of King Jesus Christ. And the 144,000.00 Co. Rulers they will teach all people on earth the same thing. After the thousand years have ended perfect people will be given the opportunity like perfect Adam and Eve had to merit everlasting life by remaining obedient to God's Laws. In this system the wages sin pays is death when you die previous sins are abolished. What you do during and after the thousand years reign of God's Kingdom will determine weather you will be saved and live forever on earth. ( We need to live so we can be accepted to be a part of the thousand years reign and have the opportunity to be saved and live forever in the new. paradise garden on earth.)

  30. I call o s a s teaching the "no-fault insurance policy" salvation. As long as you sign on the dotted line nothing can happen to you that's not "covered."

  31. You can't find anything Biblical that supports once saved, always saved? WOW! Scripture is replete with this concept. Romans 8:39-39 for starters. Wow! I just can't…

  32. It's not called temporary security, it's eternal! That means once you believe, it's forever which nevers ends. Faith alone by grace alone, in Christ alone.

  33. OSAS is not equal to the Perseverance of the Saints, or "he that believeth the Son hath everlasting life." Just chalk up another lie to the liars. These "teachers" have no understanding of the scriptures. They are a cult that uses Bible verses to try and trip up those who can be easily misled. Believers in Christ see clearly who and what they are about, so beware of wolves in sheep clothing, you who follow such "men". They want something from you, and will lie, cheat, and steal to get it.

  34. Everyone who advocates eternal security needs to read John 15:1-10. Just so there’s no confusion here as to who Jesus is speaking to allow me to explain exactly what is taking place here. John 15 takes place on the same night, right after the Last Supper, Judas has already left the group to go and betray Jesus and Jesus and His 11 FAITHFUL apostles are walking to the olive groves in Gethsemane where Jesus will soon be betrayed by Judas and arrested. Jesus gives this message to His 11 faithful apostles while walking to Gethsemane. There is no one else present but Jesus and His 11 faithful apostles. So now read this keeping in mind that Jesus is speaking only to His 11 faithful apostles.

“"I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭15:1-10‬ ‭NASB‬‬

Eternal salvation cannot be true if even Jesus’ 11 faithful apostles were capable of failing to abide in Him and the result is being cast away to wither and cast into the fire to be burned.

  35. If you are saved by Christ alone, by God's grace alone, through faith alone, you received all that God is, to save you from your sins. All that deny Him are anti Christs. Whoever adds to His words and works are workers of iniquity. Prove the spirits if they are of God. Many have gone out into the world, who do not have God's spirit. Their's is a salvation of man's good works, of which mankind has none. Do not trust humans. All who do are under the curse. Trust the LORD only, and serve Him. These evil men follow their own lusts and want to rule over you. Study to show yourself approved unto God. He will lead you into all truth.

  36. also if u believe in works that means any human that does any kindness an acts like Jesus is in. There lot sweet Buddhist ppl that help poor, kids, be good neighbors, have morals heck some are even better then Christians as a human being same with atheist

Also if u believe in works how much work do u need

We are all sinners so u can do all works till u die an still not be enough

  37. Hebrews was written to Jews who wanted to go back to temple sacrifices. They heard the gospel but were not saved.. You also cannot be unregenerated.

  38. losing your salvation is a fear-based doctrine. If every time we sin, does that mean we must get saved again and lose it the next day…. that makes no sense.

  39. fear is the answer in keeping people in line. Oh you can loose your salvation if this or that!
Just another cult teaching a false doctrine!

  40. OSAS is a flawed doctrine. Can you say you were once saved always saved from the presence of sin? Some have claimed this, but all were proved liars. So it is not from God. Every man is born once. Do you carry around your birth certificate to show you were born? Or do you go around claiming once born always born? No, it is obvious to everyone. So it is with the new birth. Those who are truly born again don't live for themselves any longer. They live for the One who bought them with His own blood. God's Salvation is the person of Christ living in and through you. If you are not a new creation, you are not born again. God must draw you to Himself for you to receive Him. He does this through His word, "being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God which liveth and abideth forever." If you want to be born again, read His word, seek Him with all your heart, "for it is God who works in you both to will and do His good pleasure." If you are not in His word and claim to be born again, repent and do the first works to see if you are in the faith. Then continue in His word and you will be disciples indeed.

  41. Your premise is wrong. Perseverance of the saints is a Calvinist doctrine teaching that one proves their salvation by continuance in works. If they fail at some point to continue it works according to Calvinism they were never saved. Unless sometime in the future they start doing works again then it proves they were saved after all. Unless they fail again to continue doing works then it proves that. . . do you see how this has nothing to do with eternal security? OSAS believers don't associate with Calvinist doctrine as it is shrouded with doubt and insecurity. We believe that Christ paid for all of our sins and rose again on the third day. That is why we believe we are secure. If Christ paid for all of our sins then what sins are left to pay for?

  42. Once saved always saved… Or else…. Twice lost always lost…. I mean, who do these people think they are in the eyes of the Lord? ALL SOULS ARE LOST… that's a fact…. Jesus saves those that are lost…. THAT'S A FACT…. Sinners are dead in God's eyes…. THAT'S A FACT… Sinners CANNOT help God save them… THAT'S A FACT!!!

  43. It depends upon Who saves you…as God's salvation is His free gift, and He does grant/give grace to the humble (Ps.149:4). Look to the Saviour Who authors and perfects faith in His own, and you will never doubt it again!

  44. All hear. We are saved to the uttermost by the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Whoever has Christ has eternal Life. Whoever denies Christ, as all that is necessary for redemption, is anti Christ. Christians start off clinging to the Word of God and we will die doing the same. These that claim that you can lose your salvation are anti Christ. God is the One who gave you the faith to believe and He will keep you to the end. If you can walk in darkness that is not of God. I would fear for one who claims to be a Christian and can. God calls such a one a liar. Do not rely on an experience only, those can be mistaken for salvation. Trust the finished work of Christ, and remain in the word of God to grow into all God wants for you. It is your necessary nourishment.

  45. 'Once saved always saved' is true for the 'true' hearted believer that truly loves Christ Jesus (1Cor.16:22) 'in sincerity' (Eph.6:24), but it becomes a stumblingblock for those that do not 'draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having their hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and their bodies washed with pure water' of the Word (Heb.10:22), as apostle Paul points out also to his 'own son in the faith' (1Tim.1:2,5,19).

'Once saved always saved' can be oversimplified by novices and made into a 'damnable heresy' 'by reason of whom The Way of Truth shall be evil spoken of…' (2Pet.2:1-3). Like apostle Paul writes, 'yea, let God be true, but every man a liar… there is none righteous, no, not one…' when 'There is no fear of God before their eyes'. Thus, like Paul, let us all 'rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh' so as to 'walk after men' (Rom.3:4,10,18, Phil.3:3, 1Cor.3:3). Paul trumpets this saying, 'Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of The World, and not after Christ' (Col.2:8).

  46. Paul’s lamentation in Romans chapter 7 is familiar to all true Christians. Once we are born again to our “New Hope” in Christ the inner war starts, as Paul refers to.. The Indian parable of the two dogs fighting in our head is a great analogy.. The one we feed the most wins.. We sow either to the spirit or the flesh each day with our thoughts and actions. Sin is a daily event in every Christian’s life, whether sins of commission or omission. Repentance should also be a daily or better yet, a continuous event as John Bunyan in his dying thoughts suggests.

  47. God doesn’t practice spiritual abortion.. I disagree with his conclusion that you can lose your salvation since we are saved by asking for Gods mercy thru Christ. Good ministry though.

  48. I agree (mostly) as there are two kinds of faith, that of our Lord (Ja.2:1, Gal.2:20) and that of devils, which like Judas, covet after silver and gives the advantage to the devil.

Christ Jesus authors and perfects His divine faith in certain ones, given Him of the Father which 'hear Him' (Is.61:1) and are thankful to do His will (1Thes.5:18).

  49. Matthew chapter 25 you have the parable of the wise and the foolish virgins. Very well teaching brother Lex. God bless you.

  50. So much error and twisting of scripture here. The devil will use the truth to float his lies.Even 99% truth to get that 1% deception accepted.

  51. I think the true Trinity today is the father and the son and those who are begotten of God's spirit waiting to be born this will complete the family of God

  52. OSAS is True, you can not earn or buy your salvation. This video takes scriptures out of context.
Read and search the words of God, Study for your self.

Here I will start you off, Now Go and seek the truth!

    Acts 13:38-41"Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. 40Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets;
41Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you."

    Acts 13:44-49
"And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God. 45But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming. 46Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.
47For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth. 48And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. 49And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region."

    Acts 15:24

“Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:”

    Acts 15:28
    -29
“For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well."

  53. Excellent job, OSAS believers don't trust God's ability to work in you to keep you. So they skip over responsibility to bring false security and it feels so Good (take away the guilt) but it is a trick of the enemy to make us reject god's decree to believe and continue to believe in the work of Christ. col 1:22-23. Not only is it a false premise, there is a blindness of the understanding of works of the flesh and the law, compared to the work of God which is for us to believe. This is a decree of God which he will judge us by on the day of redemption. OSAS offers God a statement of great faith in his work but they do not obey his word. Last, God will not over look your sin. Yes he will physically destroy the believer and save his soul. but their are also those who sins will cause them to turn from God to eternal destruction. How ever OSAS believers see cut off and thrown in the fire, as just physical punishment. Hebrews 10:26-27 26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God and mark 13 :42.
They falsely claim these are only of physical punishment but they are eternal.

Hebrews 10:38-39, “But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back.”But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul. Saving of the soul is eternal. Just giving my two cents Awesome job

    UNLEARN the lies.

  54. The brothers who insist on the "once saved always saved" doctrine, should also study the ante-nicenes, biblical greek grammar and syntax. Also let us remind ourselves that we base our doctrine on the passages that are clear and direc, not on the passages that are indirect on certain subject. Let's also refrain from appealing to rhetoric especially if a clear meaning from the WORD OF GOD can be histo-grammaticaly exposited (the plain reading of the text is what it means)

To those who use the "eternal life" argument.. thats not whats being refuted here. The "eternal life" is a promise to be fulfiled at the end of the race and as like any race you definitely experience a "now" of that. Eternal pertains to the life that you will have not on your place in the kingdom.

  55. Jesus says this in John: "15:2 Every branch in Me not bearing fruit, He takes it away;" – Clearly not all branches in Him will bear fruit. So, someone may believe in Him, but be fruitless (parable of the talents). OSAS believers argue that bearing fruit is expected – it is by default going to occur. This is false OSAS nonsense. If every branch by default will bear fruit, then He wouldn't need to say this.

Let us understand the parable of the seed and the sower – only one of them succeeds. Let us also understand the parable of the ten virgins – all ten of them were waiting for the bridegroom! But only five make it!

As Jesus said in John "15:4 Remain in Me, and I in you. As the branch is not able to bear fruit of itself, unless it remain in the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in Me." – But let me emphasize the condition: "unless it remain in the vine" and "unless you remain in Me" – if salvation is perpetual, then Jesus would not need to mention this condition. Again, OSAS is false. To remain in Christ does not mean we will be perfect, but we must strive to be perfect (Matthew 5:48).

Colossians 1:21-23: “And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight if indeed you continue in the faith …” – There is the condition again! "if indeed you continue in the faith". If we don't continue in the faith, then we won't be blameless, and we won't be above reproach in His sight. Therefore we will not be saved. OSAS is false.

Humans have free will, therefore do not equate human failure as somehow a failure of God! God does not fail, only humans do. We are called but not all of us will make it. Matthew 20:16 "So the last shall be first, and the first last; for many are called, but few chosen."

    OSAS is a lie.

  56. If once justified ain't always justified then twice condemned ALWAYS condemned!! Twice guilty always guilty! Twice lost always lost! Twice an enemy always an enemy! Twice dead ALWAYS DEAD!!! Jesus saves forever and will lose none!!!

  57. But what about son who speant all his riches when he left his fater, but on return, his father welcomed him with much rejoice, preparing a feast delightede in his returning

  58. Romans 4:5

“But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.”

    King James Version (KJV)

  59. Isaiah 64:6

“But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.”

    King James Version (KJV)

  60. Put it how you want to but if you believe you can lose your salvation you are trusting in yourself to be saved or stay saved. You believe it depends on something you do or dont do to stay saved which is works salvation. You call God a liar by by not believing the record that God gave of his son which is that through him he gives unto to us eternal life. DO NOT believe the lies of this hebrews roots false teacher.

  61. You seem to imply that if a saved person doesn’t believe anymore ( unbelief) they lose salvation. So if a Christian sins they don’t lose their salvation but if they ever reach a point of unbelief in Jesus,AT THAT POINT they lose salvation. Is this correct? Shalom.

  62. this guys using all those scriptures incorrectly, a wolf in sheep’s clothing, good job teaching false doctrine to many

  63. Is Jesus ministry to the Jews the same gospel as Paul's gospel to the Gentiles, and if not, why would it be different? It's clear he was showing the Jews they cannot keep the law to perfection and they need a saviour. When Jesus preached to the Jews it was actually a different dispensation. Are we supposed to ignore verses Jesus warned us about losing our salvation? Help! Anyone!

  64. This is a great video and very concise. Thanks for making it, and packing all those pertinent scriptures in one place and explaining them well!

  65. I just came across this video on a friends channel. I have struggled with this OSAS belief and this video brought some clarity straight from scriptures. Thank you!

  66. What came first the gospel or our obedience to the gospel. God chose us. We didn’t choose him. This man doesn’t know what he is taking about because he glories in himself instead of Jesus Christ and him crucified. We need to pray for him.

  67. So we're just going to ignore the blatant "if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in For God is able to graft them in again" in Romans if we're implying that then why would God make it clear that you can be grafted in again?

  68. Wow. Not even a mention of the unbreakable Golden Chain of Redemption of Romans 8. Salvation is of God, not of man. Nor is it based on human will or exertion Romans 9. Those whom God gives a new heart and breathes life into them, will all come Ezekiel 36. ALL that the Father gives to Jesus, will come to him, and could not have come apart from being given to Him John 6. ALL of God’s people have been predestined for adoption as sons by God’s purpose and will, not human will Ephesians 1. Being brought from death to life by God Ephesians 2.
