We are here in Zeus! We are here to visit your shop because we saw it on Instagram and on YouTube and we thought it was a nice place to hang out, to look at stuff. To look at where you make your beautiful creations. I’m happy that I was able to go here. When did you start your love for motorcycles? I love motorcycles since I was young. I had a modern motorbike, I rode it every day. But, I had an accident with that motorbike. Seven years ago, I was riding fast on my sportbike. My back got broken, my hip was broken. I slid and hit the wall barrier at around 150 km/h. I thought to myself, I know I like motorbikes But what motorbike rides slowly but looks smart? I stopped riding sportbikes. And I shifted to classic bikes. And I know, in classic bikes, if you don’t like the motorbike you can change the seats and the looks of the motorcycle and it still looks nice. It looks vintage, classic. I like to customize by myself. I started with a 150cc motorbike last 2014. That was your first? Yeah, first time. But before, I was an employee. I was a designer for concerts and events, exhibitions. But I didn’t have the skills for customization. How to cut, how to weld, how to paint. I didn’t have the skills, you know? I just learned all of this on YouTube. My old father, he taught me, He said, “Mooyong, you can start it by yourself.” “And you can charge money for yourself.” “You can get money.” Yeah, I know. And I tried. I successfully did it about 1 year into the business. I have a lot of friends who kept coming to have their bikes customized. And I kept growing my business. Little by little. So I resigned from my office, from my employer. Because I need to focus on my business. 100%. How to do branding. How to do marketing. Everything. It’s different from being an employee. You always do routine work. It’s the same every day. Many people share. Many people follow. And you’re happy. And you can level up by yourself. And now, I know, I love motorbikes and I need to make a shop for bikers. Everything for bikers. You like coffee? You come here. You like custom bikes? You love motorbikes? You need to get inspiration? You come here. We have varied motorcycles to inspire you. And we have clothing, some clothing. Accessories. You did very well for yourself. It’s actually your passion that made you like to learn it. Even though you don’t have any idea about customization. Any plans on expanding to other countries? I plan to. I have a lot of customers from the Philippines. About last month, I have a lot of customers. Some guy ordered from our website others, some spare parts and accessories. I shipped to them, too. DGR is coming up. Last time, I think we have a lot of, I forgot the number of participants but it was successful. I know you said before, that now the classic bikes are coming back in the Philippines. Why? It’s a booming market now. Well, it’s also traffic in Manila. Like here in Bangkok. So, people are starting to buy their own motorcycles. Some people would like to be different from one another that’s why they customize it. They purchase spare parts that are unique to their style. So, it’s really a huge market there. Even the customization. Like me, I never thought that I would be interested in customizing motorcycles. But since it’s the trend now, it’s becoming a popular way to build motorcycles. I got an email from the custom team of Royal Enfield in the UK. They asked me, “Mooyong do you have time to customize a bike project for a show?” Last year, Bangkok had a show. I said, “Yeah we can do it.” How long would you need for the customization? He said, “Just 45 days.” I said, “Impossible.” “Impossible.” But I need to accept the challenge. And I finished it in 45 days. And now, we have the secret project. For the Yamaha brand. It just arrived yesterday. New model. XSR 700? XSR 155. Is there one in the Philippines? There’s no 155 yet but people are really excited for Yamaha to bring in the 155. Any future plans? Now, I’m renting the shop every month. But I need to construct a new building. New shop in a new location. Now, I just pay the space by myself. Maybe not too far from BTS Station. Because 40% of the time I have tourist guides. I need to make the new building by myself. Make everything about bikers. Bike wash. Barber Shop. Coffee Shop. And motorbikes for sale. Fully-customized bikes for sale and for rent. Because I have a friend who asked me, “Mooyong, do you have motorbikes for rent?” To go around Bangkok and maybe go to Chiang Mai or to Hat Yai. And I said, “I don’t have any motorbikes now, man.” And so, I planned. Maybe buy some second-hand bikes. And fully-customized bikes for show and for rent, too. If you rent, I will plan a program for a bike tour. Travel to Pattaya and to Chiang Mai. And I partnered with a friend who owns a resort and hotels in Chiang Mai, in Phuket. He helped and asked me, “Mooyong come here.” And we planned the tours. Can you just greet our Manila fans? Okay, thank you. Come here to Thailand and Zeus Custom will accompany you. Thank you. Mooyong in Thailand means curly pork.
