MTB Composite Pedal Comparison

hi everyone Pete from BTI here again
this week we’re gonna try something a little bit different we’ve got this huge
catalogue of platform pedals so i wanted to show you a few in detail show off
some things that you might not be able to see in the website photos so you can
figure out which one you want before buying come on in start off here with a
deity compound pedal 100 by 97 millimeters it’s a little thinner at the
front rear edge give you more ground clearance secondly we’ve got Berg tech
mk4 composite pedal version of their penthouse pedal there’s the HT pa0 3a a lot of cutaway here so you’re gonna
feel some concavity to this petal gusset merge another with a nice thin leading
and trailing edge here’s the Race Face Chester I’m hoping to show in this video some of
the cutaways on the plastic on each of these petals really see how they’re both
gonna fit your foot but also avoid the ground in certain situations the brand
new a 13 base pedal nice big platform on this one and lots of pins spread through
the middle of the foot as well as the periphery now their new one tag metals
t3 this pedal looks a little bit thicker I think that’s to create some more of
that concave feeling on the foot next we’ve got the chrome AG synth we’ve got a really nice cut through the
middle section of this pedal where the bearings are at either end of the axle
again creating some of that concavity this is a popular one-up components cop
again lots of pins on this pedal and some additional plastic cutaways for
additional traction finally here’s the Crankbrothers stamp one this comes in
both large and small as you can see here small being about one centimeter smaller
in both length and width they’ve got some great colors on this
pedal hey and let us know in the comments below if you want to see any
additional comparison videos like this you can buy any of these at your local
bike shop tell BTI sent you
