Ranakpur is a village located near sadri town in the pali district of Rajasthan and is widely known for its jain temple which is said to be the most spectacular of all the jain temples. The temple is made of white marble and honors Adinath, the first tirthankar and founder of the jain religion. According to the history accounts, the construction was started by a local jain business person named as ‘Dharma Shah’. Talking about the architecture of the temple, it has the the impressions of maru gujara architectural style and also shows rajasthani craftmen of by-gone era. Also, the stone carving of the temple is based on the ancient mirpur temple.
