[Coughing] Well, come on, now, choir. Sing, children. Precious Lord, take my hand.
Lead me on, let me stand. I am tired, I am weak, I am worn. Through the storm, through the night.
Lead me on to the light. Take my hand, precious Lord. Lead me home. When my way grows drear, precious Lord linger near. When my life is almost gone. Hear my cry, hear my call.
Hold my hand, ‘lest I fall Take my hand, precious Lord.
Lead me home. Precious Lord, take my hand.
Lead me on, let me stand. I’m tired, I am weak, I am worn.

  1. This is my favorite version. It would be even better if the song was a little longer and I could find it on DVD.

  2. This movie was made on a 1 million dollar budget and gross 4 million in the box office, and received negative reviews, but had better acting from the. unknown actors.

The remake was made in a $14 million budget and gross $24 million and got positive reviews. What made the remake so much better? Hmmmm Whitney Houston…..

  3. Cool opening number, but was this movie supposed to be set during the mid-1950s, or during the late 1950s, because some of the press photo descriptions say that it was set during the mid-1950s, but I've heard that it was set during the late 1950s, too, so I am really confused. Were the press photos wrong?
