DAN: This week’s
star baker is… Vandana.
For the second time in a row. [clapping] VANDANA: Star baker twice!
Can’t believe it. I am so shocked right now.
[laughs] Yeah. Haven’t absorbed
that yet at all. ROCHELLE: Vandana as star baker
for the second week in a row is absolutely
the right decision. She deserved it so much. She brought
problem-solving skills into her incredible repertoire. VANDANA: The judges liked
the buche de noel. They were really happy
with the texture and the spiral
and the decoration. That was very exciting. BRUNO: It looks beautiful,
and technically it’s flawless. VANDANA: Thank you. BRUNO: Vandana was good at every
step of this week’s challenge. The gingerbread house,
it was just gorgeous. Simply gorgeous. VANDANA: This showstopper for me
was for my little boy Niam, and he’s just my sunshine. VANDANA: This is
blue raspberry candy. There’s gonna be a
little pond right inside. So I made a few different
shapes ’cause… just to see which one works. ♪ ROCHELLE: First of all, I’ve
never seen anything like it ever in my life. I think this is spectacular,
and it just touches my heart. It’s so beautifully–
it’s amazing. BRUNO: Good job.
ROCHELLE: Well done. VANDANA: What I learned
from this week is, even when it’s a
really stressful bake and it’s exhausting, just to keep focused
and just keep going, ’cause I know I had some issues
with one of my cookies, and you just have to
problem solve and keep going. VANDANA: It’ll hold it together.
It’ll be okay. Deep breaths!
[laughs] It’s all good. VANDANA: I’m so excited
that the judges loved this particular one, because I
put a lot of heart in this one. It was for my little boy.
